We are taking a systematic and obsessive approach to testing every single home on the planet, and accepting only the top 1%.

The Role

We are building a business that brings world leading technical excellence alongside incredible visual creatives and brand builders to be globally successful.

You will be joining a team of 6 skilled engineers working across our platforms using modern technologies. We are fast paced, pragmatic and execute like entrepreneurs.

Over the next 3 months you will:

  • Work on growth hacking features to double lead generation with extensive A/B testing.

  • Improving our booking management flows to improve efficiencies by a third for our teams

  • Building resilient finance and payment systems to scale to 25 cities

  • Help plan and build our new microservices

  • Build, maintain and monitor our cloud infrastructure, event processing and email platforms.

  • Be responsible for shaping the stack by introducing new technologies.

Taster of 3 months and beyond:

  • Build an algorithm that automatically identifies the top 1% of homes from every platform.

  • Build on demand services allowing guests to fridge fill and airport pick-ups.

  • Help us crack the science behind the perfect stay. We collect a lot of data about each home and we intend to leverage this to understand what guests really want. If you have any machine learning interests, that would be a huge bonus.

  • Building cloud architecture to scale to 25 cities.

  • Have opportunity to take on more responsibility and ownership with paths to leadership and beyond.

About you

The following are some examples of profiles that are relevant to us:

  • Have 3+ years development experience at startups, agencies or software companies.

  • Technical leadership and team leading.

  • Full-stack engineering experience in C# and JavaScript is desirable but we’re open-minded about your technology background.

  • Experience in best practices such as A/B testing and test coverage.

  • Experience with high-scale web applications, distributed systems and APIs.

  • Experienced in devOps and promoter of automation.

  • Advocate for modern tech, tooling and infrastructure.

  • You know your Kissmetrics from your Segment to your Algolia.

  • You get a kick out of tracking down site anomalies in the cloud.

  • No ego and dedicated team player; we’ve got your back so make sure you have ours.

  • You strive for responsibility and ownership. And lots of it.

  • Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical people.
